Measuring luminescence with EMCCD camera allows for the spatial differentiation of luminescence signals. Different minerals, mineral phases, radiation hot spots etc. can be determined in granular or solid samples and provide information on small scale differences of the radiation fields, or the material inhomogeneities (e.g. semiconductors).
