Freiberg Instruments expanded its headquarters in Freiberg, Germany, with a new production facility, doubling the company’s manufacturing capacity. Completed in November 2018, the extension created additional space for system assembly, testing and automated CNC machining.
The expansion brought production and application teams together within one building and strengthened the company’s in-house manufacturing capabilities. By reducing its dependence on external suppliers, Freiberg Instruments aimed to shorten lead times, improve operational efficiency and respond more flexibly to growing customer demand.
The new building was completed ahead of the original schedule and within the planned project budget.

The investment marked an important step in the company’s continued development. With expanded production space and greater control over essential manufacturing processes, Freiberg Instruments strengthened its ability to deliver advanced measurement systems efficiently and reliably to customers worldwide.
The construction project was co-financed with tax revenue based on the budget adopted by the members of the Parliament of Saxony.
